Aula de Extensión Universitaria "La Agenda 2030 de las Naciones Unidas"

The Concepción Arenal Chair of Agenda 2030 of the University of Oviedo has promoted the University Extension Class "The United Nations Agenda 2030: a multidisciplinary approach to identify and understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".

The Extension Classroom will be held in the Ateneo Obrero of Villaviciosa every Monday between 11 September and 27 November, from 19:00h. to 20:30h. There is a maximum of 120 places available. Enrolment is free and can be done until 23:59 on 4 September on the website of the University of Oviedo.

It is not necessary to have previous knowledge in order to enrol, it is aimed at anyone interested in acquiring knowledge about the 2030 Agenda and the 17 SDGs.

The aim of the course is to analyse the concept of sustainable development, learn about the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the targets of each of them, study the international and state legal framework of the 2030 Agenda and its implementation at state, regional and local level.

The teaching, with the aim of making the vision of the 2030 Agenda completely interdisciplinary, is carried out by professors from the University of Oviedo from different fields of knowledge, including Law, Economics, Ecology, Engineering, Sociology and Geography.

The lecturer in Public International Law, Beatriz Vázquez Rodríguez, and the lecturer in Financial Economics, Irma Martínez García, are in charge of the class.
